Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Rebecca Kirsh has always been driven towards the arts. She first started her interest in film at age 7, then began to make her own home videos, eventually learning to use iMovie. She got involved with Movie Makers, a production company in the outskirts of Chapel Hill, at age 11, where she learned acting for the camera and behind the scenes. Kirsh became interested in theatre at age 13, where she performed as the Anne understudy in "The Diary of Anne Frank." She went on to perform in "Beauty and the Beast," "The Phantom Tollbooth," "Aladdin," "Our Town," "Grease," "Little Women," "The Mouse that Roared" (Nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Hanes Theatre in Chapel Hill), "Ragtime," and other shows. Her film credits include: "Stalker/Stalker" (short - won at Carrboro Film Festival), "Emotion Room," (short) "Pixie Paisano," (short) "Supernatural National Anthem" (music video), "Thought Bubble," (short) and "Afraid of the World" (short- won at Carrboro Film Festival). Todd Tinkham's "Southland of the Heart" has marked her first crew credit.
