Director, screenwriter and composer Peter Langmead lives in Zambia. 'The Borderline' is a relationship thriller based on his observations of African culture, bringing together many years of working in rural communities across the continent, from the perspective of an outsider. Communicating the vibrancy of life, he chronicles the aspirations of ordinary people and portrays a long overdue positive image of Africa. He worked as a photographer, mostly in Nigeria but also throughout Africa and Asia on development projects, making video and radio programmes and supporting media for extension services, eventually settling in Zambia. After working in development throughout the world, and with a desire to write and produce operas, Peter wrote and directed 'Damyna Damyna the opera', which premiered at the Lusaka Playhouse in April 2014; 'The Legend of Konga Mato' followed in April 2015. Rewriting 'Damyna Damyna' as a screenplay, Peter directed his first feature film, 'Damyna the Musical', which won a DIKALO 2017 for Best Actress at Festival International du Film PanAfricain de Cannes. His second film, 'The Borderline', also filmed and produced in Zambia, was released in Zambia mid-2019 and world premiered in Lusaka.
