Josh Russell

Josh Russell is known for television roles in Chicago P.D. and Homicide Hunter: Lt Joe Kenda, and for the role of Parker in the independent film Mind Heist. Josh grew up in the Southwest of the United States the oldest son of a registered nurse and a church minister. He played football in High School, while also studying piano, and acting in his high school theater club. Josh went to college on a football scholarship where he dabbled in acting classes briefly before electing to major in Business Administration. After college he enlisted in the US Army where he served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He was medically discharged after incurring an injury during deployment to Afghanistan. After leaving the US Army in 2012 his love for acting was rekindled when a fellow veteran asked him to play a role in a student film. Acting in his friend's student films led him to begin studying with acting instructor Yvonne Suhor , and inspired him to choose acting as a career.
