Giovanna Torres Arteche

Graduate in Journalism at the UPV and Drama at the BAI, completed her theatrical training at CNSEA (Center of Artistic Education) in La Habana. She also has a Professional Certificate of Assembly and Postproduction (Salesianos Deusto). Her first job as audiovisual director was in 2013 with the short film "The beautiful profile coward in his only act of courage", which she was writer, director, producer and principal actress. The text was published in 2006 in the book "Polaroids", by publisher Artez. Later, in 2016, she directed "The void", experimental short film, and "Last minute", for the Notodo Film festival. As well, it is in distribution the short "Lovers of even page", which is co-writer and actress and it was awarded best screenplay at the International Festival of scripts Alcorto 2013. Now it's in post-production her screenplay "Women on both sides of the line," a tragicomedy about the war in the world. Currently he is finishing writing his first feature film "There is still a better place", a folkloric story about rural life. In theatre, was also writer, director and actress of "One Hundred Songs of love and desperate red", and directed and started "The Journey of the matryoshka". In her role as actress, has also participated in the films: "The Jairi" by Manu Ochoa, "El Viaje de Penélope" by Fernando Merinero and "Sor" by Fernando Simarro, in the tv serie "La Tira", and a lot of short films. In theatre, he has participated in the festival BAD 2006 with "Hombre Arena", "Retrovértigo" by Peter Brooks, "El otro sentido de la vida" by Jorge Jimeno, "Versus" with José Pascual Abellán, etc.
