Erica Averill

Erica Averill was born 'Erica Leigh Garrison'. She was raised in Gastonia, NC with by parents and has one younger brother. Erica attended high school at Forestview High School, graduating early to attend Savannah College of Art and Design to pursue a degree in the arts. Known for her classically trained dance skills, photography, drawing, painting, and acting, Erica was noticed for her artistic abilities. She finished her first oil painting at the age of eight years old. Her mother put her in dance classes, vocal lessons, and piano lessons. However, theatre was where Erica felt most at home. Taking a chance, Erica's mother and father allowed her to audition for her first major role. Erica continued to grace the stage for years until starting school at The Savannah College of Art and Design. While working on her photography and ballet degree, she picked up parts in student films around campus. After taking a break after college, Erica married at age 21 and had her first and only child at 22; Juliet Averill. The marriage didn't last and moved on with her life as a single mother. She began auditioning for roles as a background actor and ended up filming for the entire season of "Shots Fired" with FOX. While working at FOX, Erica was scouted by Thingamajig Media and began filming "When I Grow Up" immediately. From there, she partnered with Thingamajig Media and Cosmic River Films to use her talents in other films, including the award winning horror short "Little Angel". She is now working on pre-production for the upcoming film "Hope".
