Emily has over 20 years experience working in Children's Charities, at NSPCC, Barnardo's and the Children's Society. Her background is in delivering services through advocacy and participation, particularly in Young Offenders Institutes, illegal Traveller sites and with children in care. I have policy and public affairs experience within the voluntary sector and research interests in participation, rights, criminology and social policy, as a guest lecturer at Bristol University since 2005. An inspirational public speaker Emily can bring to life the experiences of vulnerable children and families in the UK and provide commentary on policy initiatives and approaches by Government. She has also used her service experience to help major soaps script abuse storylines (Hollyoaks and Emmerdale). She also helped Ezra Miller prepare for taking on the role of Credence in Fantastic Beasts through her understanding of child neglect. She has been a significant contributor to news shows on areas including Online Safety, mental health and parenting. She regularly contributes to Vanessa Feltz BBC Radio London Breakfast show as a paper reviewer. Emily has appeared on all major TV channels, BBC Breakfast, BBC News 24, BBC World News, Newsround, Channel 5 News, Channel 4 News, GMB, ITV This Morning and regional radio. She lives in a small village near Cambridge, married to Paul who is a Primary Teacher and have 2 beautiful young children called George and Issy.
