Darren J. DeFreitas

Darren Jamal DeFreitas, born in Georgetown, Guyana. At the age of 7, he moved to America with his mother, Evan (Yvonne) DeFreitas, and older sister, Cindy Phillips. His father, John DeFreitas, was living in America for some time already. Darren grew up in New York City since he was a child. He got into drawing and animation at a young age. He attended the Borough of Manhattan Community College(BMCC) from 2013-2015, where he ended up changing his major to Criminal Justice to study law. While attending BMCC, he also joined a Video Production Club(VPC), where he fell in love with filmmaking, acting, and production. Years later, he would start his own independent production company, Sugrpinkcar Studios, LLC. The company will soon be specialized in producing narrative feature-length films, TV shows, and animations.
