Robin Liner was born in Glendale, California. She grew up in the East Bay Area of California. Her father was a piping designer and her mother was a bookkeeper/ secretary. She first fell in love with the performing arts when she was at San Ramon Valley High School. Although she considered acting as a profession she ended up in the Christian music industry writing songs and touring nationally and internationally as Robyn Pope. Her first recording project gained national recognition and propelled her to a second project produced by "Country Music Hall of Famer", Jerry Wallace and Will MacFarlane (former lead guitarist for Bonnie Raitt). Side projects such as "Star Shower", produced by Chris Christian, followed. In 1987 she retired from the music industry to start a family. It wasn't until 2006 that she started writing again, but this time she was writing children's books and one act plays. She produced the plays locally, which led to her stretching her writing skills to include screenplays. In 2016 she joined forces with her son Stefan Liner to launch the production company East Stream Studio. The mother/son team released their first completed season of the web series, When Fact Met Fiction in December of 2016.
