Galiya Utepova

Galiya is a Kazakh actress based in Madrid, Spain. With an open and sociable personality, she has always been fascinated by the world of acting. Galiya started acting in a school theatre and participated in local festivals in her teenage years. Having graduated with a degree in Computer Science in Kazakhstan, she moved to Spain where her living and warm character came to light completely. Galiya's first project "Mar de Cristal" where she served concurrently as a screenwriter, producer and the leading role, inspired her to continue her acting career ahead. She has also participated in a short film called "Cuento Chino" for the ECAM - Madrid's School of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts. In 2014-2018 Galiya completed different interpretation courses in Madrid-based schools and workshop studios with professional actors such as Nuria Soler, Santi Senso, Antonio Raposo, David Huertas and casting directors including Luis Cañete, Juanma López and Lucy Lennox. All this experience helped her to land the role in an episode in "Velvet", a Spanish television series produced by Bambú Producciones for Antena 3 in 2016. She is passionate for languages and speaks fluent Spanish, English and Russian, having had plenty opportunities to participate in international auditions.
