Lara Binamé was born on April 18th, 1990, in Montreal, Canada. Her parents both European immigrants, she is of British, Belgian and Scottish descent. Her father, mother and younger brother all work as creative professionals in the entertainment industry. She studied Arts & Culture, Studio Art, Scriptwriting and modelled for two years before spending her early twenties building a career as a freelance copywriter, creating and directing comedic, anti-ageist and pro-LGBTQIA2S+ content, as well as running an online magazine that showcased all kinds of individuals through her writing and photography. With a keen interest in the human experience, a shift in focus towards acting in 2016 came as a natural evolution. She was first cast in the Sanchez Brother's Allure (2017) following her second audition, which premiered at TIFF the following year and made their annual Top Ten list, and made a TV debut on The Detectives (2018). In 2017, she moved to Toronto and has since appeared on The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair (2018), Taken (2017), Good Witch (2015), Clarice (2021) and Accused (2023).
