Sarah Ceballos was born and raised in McAllen, which is about 15 minutes from Mexico along the most southern border of Texas. She is 4th generation, Mexican, on both sides, and is Spanish fluent. Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley meant dinner on Friday nights in Reynosa with her family. When Sarah was four she would get up on pianos or tables to dance and sing with the mariachis. Entertaining and serving others is something that comes naturally to her. She's often quoted as saying, "there's already enough sadness in the world, I just want everyone to be happy." When Sarah was nine years old she lost her father, her hero, and really her best friend. The same person who always encouraged her to live life to its fullest and go for her heart's desire. Theater became a safe haven for her to heal and allowed her to open up again. At the age of 11, Sarah's first musical was a local production of "Grease". She found theater again in high school and then it was off to college. Acting remained the one thing she regretted not doing. After close to ten years in corporate America and completing her doctorate (Ph.D.) in Organizational Leadership, Sarah went to New York City for a summer acting program, with nothing more than two suitcases, and never left. Outside of pursuing an acting career, Sarah is a professor of communication. She also conducts research geared towards creating more advancement opportunities for people of color in the workplace and has been published in various academic journals.
