Julia Marty

Born Julia Kathrin Marty on 16 April 1988 in Nussbaumen, Switzerland. She is a professional ice hockey player, who shoots left and plays defense. At the moment Marty plays for Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She used to play for the University of New Hampshire in 2007-2008 season. Julia scored three goals and added seven assists for 10 points along with a plus-24 rating in 31 games. Marty used to play for EV Zug in the top Swiss league from 2003 to 2007. She was an All-Star selection in 2005 and took part in the European Champions Cup. Julia helped EV Zug to capture the third place in 2004. Julia Marty skated for DHC Langenthal and the EHC Wettingen-Baden boys team. In 2012 she won the bronze medal from the IIHF World Women's Championships. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Marty helped the team to win the bronze medal against Sweden in the playoffs. Her twin sister Stefanie Marty is also her teammate.
