Angelica Hale's a singer from Atlanta who competed in season 12 of America's Got Talent in 2017, received Chris Hardwick's Golden Buzzer, and finished as the youngest runner-up in the show's history. She was a featured performer in the 91st Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in 2017 and has appeared on Little Big Shots, the Today Show, and many others. She performs at concerts, shows, corporate events, sporting events, and galas all over the World and enjoys spending time in the studio where she is working on her debut album. Angelica is also an actress and voice-over artist having made her feature film debut in 2018 on the film "American Reject" and having voiced the lead character in an animated series, "Maya Unstoppable". Having overcome a life-threatening illness when she was only 4 that resulted in her fighting sepsis and needing a kidney transplant when she was just 6 years old, Angelica loves to give back and support organizations that help children that may be going through something similar. In this respect, she is the first kid ambassador for the National Kidney Foundation (2017-) and celebrity advocate for the Sepsis Alliance (2018-) and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (2017-). America's Got Talent In 2017, Angelica competed in season 12 of America's Got Talent, where she made it past the auditions round with her rendition of "Rise Up" by Andra Day. In the Judge Cuts round, Angelica was given a golden buzzer by guest judge Chris Hardwick, after covering "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys, sending her directly to the live shows. During the live shows, she sang "Clarity" by Zedd in the Quarterfinals and "Without You" by David Guetta for her Semifinals performance. Angelica advanced to the Finals where she performed "Symphony" by Clean Bandit. For the finale results episode, she performed "Stronger" with Kelly Clarkson and fellow contestant Kechi Okwuchi. She finished the competition in second place, becoming the youngest runner-up in the show's history. After America's Got Talent After competing in season 12 of America's Got Talent, Angelica Hale has been a featured performer in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, Dr. Martin Luther King commemoration, performed for the Atlanta Falcons (NFL), Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL), Atlanta Braves (MLB), US Open (Tennis), and Ottawa Senators (NHL), while also appearing on several TV shows, such as Little Big Shots, Today Show, Access Hollywood, Pickler & Ben, Harry, Hallmark Channel, and numerous affiliated news/morning shows. Health Problems Early in Life In 2012, when Angelica Hale was just 4 years old, she became very ill with double pneumonia due to an aggressive strep pneumococcal bacterial infection. She desperately needed life-saving medical intervention and was put on ECMO life-support at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. She went septic and experienced multiple organ failure, including her kidneys which did not recover. Hemodialysis and later peritoneal dialysis became her new normal. After 80 straight days in the hospital, from near-death to long road to recovery, she finally made it home, but her life was forever changed. After a year and a half of dialysis, Angelica was ready for the biggest surgery of her life-her kidney transplant. The donor kidney would come from none other than her mother. On September 13, 2013, Angelica and her mom underwent a successful kidney transplantation surgery at two remarkable hospitals across the street from each other-Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale has been pursuing her dreams of being a star ever since.
