Madeline Barr is from Denver, Colorado where she attended the Denver School of the Arts as a theatre major, later she graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Experimental Theatre Wing. She resides in Brooklyn, New York where she works as an actress, director, and theater maker. In winter of 2016 she won a grant from the New York Society Library's "Emerging Female Playwrights" program for her part in devising "Three" a play that she co-starred in alongside Julia Blauvelt and Allison Taaffe, directed by Stephen Spinella. In spring of 2016 partook in a workshop for Tony Kushner's play "Stella" at the Public Theatre, directed by Austin Pendelton. She appeared in Matty O' Conner's film, "Wash Park", and acted in the leading role of "Charlotte" in Lorraine Portman's "Falling South".
