West Montez is an up-and-coming young African American and Puerto Rican actor. His father is African American while his mother is of Puerto Rican and European descent. Although growing up predominantly in New York and Texas, he spent a lot of his youth on the road, living in 13 different states and 21 cities within the United States. At the age of 13, his family ultimately relocated from their Park Slope neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York to the North Dallas city of Frisco, Texas for a more permanent stretch. From the early age of 4-years-old, he displayed an unwavering confidence and passion for performance and entertaining, going on to receive extensive training in the latter part of his teenage years at KD Studio & Conservatory in Dallas. After working steadily and consistently on the commercial side of the business, he made his brief on-screen theatrical debut at Sundance Film Festival in To the Stars (2019). Montez has also made appearances in the episodic Snap Original, Two Sides (2019) as Jamal.
