Julisa Lopez was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is a bilingual (English and Spanish-neutral) voice-over artist based in Orlando, Florida. She specializes in animation, video game, ADR, and commercials; all of which she has worked on remotely with clients around the world. She was raised in Puerto Rico, which is where she became drawn to the arts. She participated in some school plays and later started taking acting lessons/coaching. In 2011, during one of her acting lessons with a private acting coach in PR, she rediscovered voice-over and then dedicated herself to learning the craft. She participated in the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA 2011) in New York. There she attended acting workshops, met with Paul Weber of MGM Studios and got a scholarship for the New York Film Academy. Although she did not attend the NY Film Academy, she continued to train for stage, on-screen, and voice acting. She has trained and taken workshops with Dee Bradley Baker, Tony Gonzales, Debi Derryberry, Richard Horvitz, Erin Fitzgerald, Greg Cipes, MJ Lallo, and Puerto Rican actor, Carlos Miranda.
