Heather Bresch was born on June 27, 1969, in West Virginia. She served as the CEO of Mylan, one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, and as one of the company's executive directors from 2012 until Mylan merged with Upjohn to form Viatris in November 2020. Bresch is known as an advocate for access to medicine and played a vital role in the passage of such landmark legislation as the Generic Drug User Fee Act (2012) and Medicare Modernization Act (2003).
