Sonya Kreizman (Sofia Kreizman) was born in Rostov-on-Don, Russia to a Jewish father and Ukrainian mother. At the age of 12 she immigrated to the United States with her parents. Sonya began her career working in TV and film production as an intern at MTV and PBS while attending Fordham University in New York City, followed by the Stella Adler Conservatory. She subsequently moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her full-time comedic acting career while continuing her studies at UCB and the Groundlings. Sonya is entrepreneur, writer and producer of her own comedic series called Sonya In Fur, if Borat and Carrie Bradshaw had a daughter. After graduating from Fordham University, she became a female CEO in the tech world having developed three mobile dating apps: jCrush, MiCrush and Joint Lovers. She began to offer comedic dating advice via her Russian character's popular Instagram page SonyaInFur. The series immediately went viral, garnering over 30M+ views worldwide in less than a year.
