Connie's memoir TOP ROCK GIRLY JOCK--A CHICAGO RADIO FIRST! tells how she became America's 1st Female Rock Jock on AM radio in a major market. She also was the 1st female in America to broadcast live on an all digital radio station -WJMK - 104.3 HD2 as announced on All Access. She was entered into the U.S. Congressional Record -twice. Connie was considered for the hostess opening on ABC-TV which eventually went to Oprah! In her radio career, she partied with Elton John, Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac, Bobby Vinton, & more. She met Elvis & had a date with Neil Diamond and always wished it had been the other way around. A native Chicagoan, of Polish descent, she often ended her shows with "Jeszcze Polska nie Zginela" - the first line of the Polish national anthem. Connie occasionally guest-hosted TV's "KIDDIE-A-GO-GO," "TILMON'S TEMPO" with Jim Tilmon, the CHET GULINSKI SHOW, and often interviewed on Chicago TV for her radio career and books she authored, on ABC News with Janet Davies, and WGN News with Steve Sanders. She did many films as an extra - the first being "T. R. BASKIN" with Candace Bergen (Connie's in the elevator scene next to Candace). She was thrilled to be cast in "THE KILLING FLOOR" as an hysterical labor union worker, even though an actor on horseback accidentally swiped her wrist with his sword til it bled. They wanted to send Connie to the infirmary, but she refused to miss out on her first principal role! So if you saw blood in that scene, it was real blood. Helped the hysterical scene too -- is that what they call method acting?
