Ivan Kachalin

Ivan Kachalin started his career as an actor, and later, as an avant-garde artist. Since 2013 he became interested in advertising, filmed commercials and documentaries about the activities of enterprises. In 2015, a group of like-minded people created the creative association CineFog (since October 2017, LLC CINEFOG). He was the ideological inspirer and director of the short film "The Seventh Sin" (Winner of the 6th International Film Festival "DROP" in the nomination "Best Short Film", 2016; Participant of the competition program of the 23th Open Festival of Student and Debut Films "Sacred Anna", 2016), the feature film "The Wanderer" (Participant of the competition program of the 7th International Film Festival "DROP", 2017 , Winner of the 26th Open Russian Film Festival "KinoShok" in the nomination "Best Director", 2017) and the documentary "The Squares" (Participant of the out-of-competition program "Enviroment" 11th International Documentary Film Festival "ArtDOCFest", 2017). From 2014 to 2017, he studied in more detail the direction at the Moscow Institute of Television and Radio Broadcasting "Ostankino" (the course of Vladimir Khotinenko and Sebastian Alarcon), until the closure of the school.
