Mongené is an aspiring dancer, actress and performer. With training such as ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary , tap and hip hop can she not only strut her stuff on stage but also in front of the camera. She was recently casted in music videos for prominent solo artists: Juanita Du Plessis' Hambamba, LiiLa's Losdans and Armand Joubert's Drome Word Waar. She is also a featured dancer in the Johnsons Workwear Corporate video. She also performed in musical productions such as 96000 The Musical in 2014 and Follicle The Musical in 2015 and Swing Swing Swing at the University of Johannesburg in 2016. Mongené had her first taste as a movie actress on set as an extra in the movie French Toast directed by Paul Kruger. She was also casted as a featured extra in the Kyknet Silwerskerm Shortfilm Transito, produced by Hoërskool Waterkloof. Mongené has recently been casted as a featured extra in the movie #Scars. Mongené was also chosen to embark on a journey in 2013 to America where she showcased her talents at the well known platform AMTC. With a passion for the performing arts, Mongené has received a scholarship to attend the American Academy of Ballet's Summer School in 2015. She also represented South Africa at the IDO World Dance Championships in Copenhagen where they won first place gold for their production, under the leadership of Eunice Marais School of Dance. Mongené has also been ranked second for ballet in the South African Dance Team of 2014. She earned a high distinction (83%) for her Royal Academy of Dance Advanced 2 exam and will do her Solo Seal ballet exam in 2017 under ballet tutor and former prime ballerina, Michelle Naudé (RAD Solo Seal). Mongené is a qualified modern and ballet teacher for junior levels. She also concluded an exciting and adventurous mentorship program with FADCreations and mentors Diani Gernandt and Ferdinand Gernandt. The mentorship program includes disciplines such as acting skills, vocal training, stage performance, Broadway stage training. She enrolled in level 2 mentorship training for accent training, monologue writing and script writing. For 2017 she has enrolled in an acting on screen course with the Film Factory as well as a one year introduction course for screen writing and film production with Bright Light Film Academy and the curriculum includes topics such as: Script writing Location scouting Hair & Makeup and Set dressing Production Planning Filming, Lighting and sound Directing Editing
