Filmmaking has been whispering in the background of my whole life. As a child I would gather the neighbor kids together to put on a play for the parents. In my young adulthood it was a stronger desire to watch the behind-the-scenes extras on DVDs over the movies. Recently when a major feature film was filmed in an apple orchard less than ten minutes from my home, it challenged my notion that one had to live in LA to be in film production. Thus began my career as a filmmaker and producer in the Portland, OR area. I have produced a number of short films with small crews, difficult schedules, low budgets, and multiple locations. I work with diligence, efficiency, and success. I thrive in the camaraderie that is created when a group of people bring their own individual skills together to create a single project. While being in high pressure environments I am able to find moments of levity while still being committed to the completion of the goal. In 2016 I made an autobiographical short film, A New Promise which screened at the Oregon Independent Film Festival, where it won Best Short Film. I was selected by 70s cult classic filmmaker, Brian Trenchard-Smith to create a branded media piece for the city of St. Helens, OR to encourage tourism much to the city council's delight. Shortly before graduating with a degree in film from Portland State University, I studied in the school's "Cinema in New York City" study away program. I am the producer of the third season of a serialized audio drama, Annex set in the fictional city of Harborview between World War I and the Great Depression. I am also filming a documentary involving a gentleman making his way through the process of a kidney transplant.
