James Boggan was born on June 29, 1968 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Attended St. Martin East Elementary, St. Martin Middle, and St. Martin High up to his junior year. He transferred, and graduated from Biloxi High school in 1987 from there entered the military. As a soldier in the U. S. Army he traveled all over the world. While stationed at Ft. Knox in 1990 he met, and married Veronica "Lynn" Calbert. Together they had four children (Domonique, John, Kalvin, and Kechelle). After retiring from the military he went to work at Ford Motor Company. In 2007 when the automobile industry hit an all time low he decided to take the monetary severance pay, and pursue his dreams. In 2008 he became very ill, and was hospitalized for diabetes. Unknowing that he had the disease he had to make some drastic changes in his life. First he had to put his dreams on hold until he was able to function again on his own. After many surgeries, and rehab several years later he was able to pursue his dreams again. He enrolled at Northwood University taking on a full class load. Within twenty-two months he graduated with his Bachelor's in Business Administration. Fascinated by his drive, and determination his wife encouraged him to share his story with the world. So while attending the University of Northwood he enrolled in a ScreenwritingU online course. Upon the completion of his classes at ScreenwritingU he wrote his first screenplay (Dying Within), and it made the semi-finals in Table Read My Screenplay Hollywood Competition which drew the attention of several industry professionals. James went from writing his stories to doing re-writes for other's in the industry. Today several of his re-writes, and his stories are headed to the big screen. Today he, and his family lives in Louisville, Kentucky living the dream. They are active members of Bates Memorial Baptist Church in several ministries. Spends free time feeding the homeless at local shelter's, and participates in clothing drives. They are big supporter's of JDRF, and Susan G. Komen foundation.
