Scott graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from Indiana University (Bloomington) in 1985 where he received a BA in Theatre and Drama. After landing parts in several commercials Scott became a member of SAG in 1990. His love for theater landed him roles in a series of one act plays called "Intimacies...and More Intimacies" followed by a leading role in "The Boys in the Band" where he won a Best Actor award at Miami Beach's Little Stage theater for playing Emory. Scott studied for many years with coach Wayne Dvorak where he began to work in the Meisner Technique. Scott says, "For me working in this area opened up a whole new world for me...it truly changed me both as a person and as an actor." Scott has been active at the Actors Workout Studio with Emmy Award winning coach Fran Montano and is on stage doing what he loves! Scott corresponded for over 20 years with his deeply admired and most cherished playwright and screenwriter Horton Foote. Scott once commented to Mr. Foote, "Keeping your work alive and ongoing would be enough to make me happy for a lifetime!"
