After growing up in Newcastle with a passion for the performing arts, Jessie was selected to attend the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts for their prestigious acting course at age 20. She thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and rigour of the full time acting training at WAAPA. Some of her highlights were 'Elizabeth' in 'Holy Day', 'Jaques' in 'As You Like It', 'Gwendolyn Fairfax' in 'The Importance of being Earnest' and 'Dominique De Villepin' in 'Stuff Happens'. Jessie was also trained in writing and theatre making at WAAPA by New York director Andy Paris. In addition to this, she also utilised her time at WAAPA by attending professional singing lessons as extra curriculum. Outside of acting, Jessie has studied a Bachelor of Psychology at the University of Newcastle and landed a position on their academy commendation list.
