Abel Zerai is an Eritrean American born in La Mirada, California. Growing up he always had a taste for writing short stories and poetry. This desire to express himself through writing led to him discovering acting while attending Scottsdale Community College. It is there where he began to take class after class and eventually attend SCC's Acting Conservatory Program. While working on main-stage and black box productions at SCC, Abel was nominated and attended the Kennedy Center Theater Arts Festival for 3 consecutive years from 2011 to 2014. From those experiences he decided to attend Arizona State University to complete his BA in Theater in 2016. Where he was fortunate enough to act in a KCACTF finalist play, Germs and Viruses, understudy as Mitch in the grad programs production of A Streetcar Named Desire, and co-produce a thesis project that won many peer-based awards including Best Actor for Abel. He now resides in Los Angeles and works as a local actor on the stage and within new-media.
