Nick Rees came to adulthood in Victoria, British Columbia where he was constantly exposed to the film industry--both the indie scene and close proximity to big budget productions. Drawing inspiration from filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino and Ridley Scott and Brian de Palma resulted in an artistic looking glass unlike most others. A chance meeting with Bryan Singer and exposure to an indie David Cronenberg Film led to an insatiable desire to transition into the film industry. As a veteran of the military he believes the organization and leadership skills developed within the armed forces translates directly into success within producing and directing films. He hopes to use this experience to highlight the potential of his small production outfit LP Productions, in and of itself an homage to the classic days of the film and music independent scene.
