My name is Troy Weymouth. I, somehow, am an aspiring actor. Growing up with a severe stutter and Tourette's made life a little difficult, but not impossible. With a strong work ethic, and my ability to move past the negativity shown towards my stuttering, I made it through many obstacles throughout my military career. I was an Infantryman and a Green Beret. I graduated many schools including Ranger School. When I got out, in 2016, I was lost. I didn't know what I wanted to do. With the response to one pop-up ad, I found a passion for acting. Imagine that! The man who can't say his name wants to be in front of people. Well, I don't stutter when I act. Other actors before me have said it's because we now have to think of WHY we're saying the words, instead of HOW we're going to say them. It's an amazing, but true, statement. So this is what I want to do. I'm 41 years old and feel so alive. Like the military, this is hard. Although it pays less...ha. It's hard working as a waiter to facilitate this new dream, but I do it because it's a means to an end. Becoming an actor has made me happier and healthier. When I left the Army, I drank to escape the loneliness of my life. That has all changed. I found a way to realize life is worth living, not remembering. I move forward past all my mistakes and heartbreaks. I hope, one day, I can show the world what I have to offer.
