Youyi

Born to an Indonesian Chinese father and a Vietnamese Chinese mother, Youyi was educated in Taiwan and Singapore, giving her a first-hand experience of the cultures and languages of the different cities. With her unique background, Youyi developed a strong passion in bringing people together through communication. This has driven her to choose a career as a presenter, and led her to pursue a second bachelor degree in Translation & Interprepation at UniSIM, on top of her degree in Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University. She has livened up TV screens on weekday mornings with her soothing voice and grace on Good Morning Singapore, the long-running morning TV show on Channel 8, which clinched her the Best Current Affairs Presenter award at Star Awards 2012. She impressed viewers with her wit and charisma when she hosted shows such as SPD Charity Show 2013, Smart @Work and Starry Starry Night 2012, a mega concert organized by China's CCTV.
