Robert Cristian Trif

Robert Cristian Trif was born in Calan, Hunedoara to Maria an accountant and Ioan a mechanic. His paternal grandparents were native mountaineers from Apuseni Mountains in Romania. He is a former football player and former football agent. His football career ended early because of a knee injury which made him stop his football career. After finishing his acting studies with reputed acting coaches, Trif made his film debut in 2017 in Before Suicide an award-winning drama film based on real life story. Trif wrote the story, directed and produced the film and played the main role of a husband (Alex) who was going through difficult situations alone, after his wife, family, friends left him. His first feature film is the comedy film "Please choose me as your boyfriend" in which he played the main role of Marco a young man who is trying along with his friends to win the heart of a girl he met in a restaurant. The films were released in 2019 and 2020 in cinemas. His most recent work is in the new sequel feature A Tale of Shadows:Illusions, where he plays the role of the farmer in the film. A versatile actor who enjoys playing difficult roles from drama, action to comedy is also enjoying doing theater plays. Although he started acting only in 2016, already has been given a number of awards in theatre for his electrical and outstanding performance.
