Alan Mooney is an actor for stage and screen. He is a recent graduate of University College Cork and began performing with UCC Dramat while studying for his BA in English and History. On film Alan has played the role of Fiach in "3 Friends", an adaptation of the Colm Toibin novel "Mothers and Sons". "3 Friends" premiered internationally in the 2016 Rhode Island International Film Festival and played in the 2016 Cork Film Festival, the Dublin GAZE Festival and others. He also played "Jack" in the short "Stock Rotation" by John Seymour Gleeson which played at the Fastnet Film Festival, Schull and the inaugural Cork Film Fringe in 2016. Stage performance credits with Dramat include "And Then There Were None", "Foxfinder", "Architects and Anarchists" and "Butterfly Kiss". He also performed with Dramat at multiple intervarsity ISDA Festivals in Cork, Galway, and Belfast. Other theatre credits include the lead "Dylan Klebold / Loner" in "columbinus" for Cork Arts Theatre, "Juno and the Paycock" with the Everyman Theatre / Ger Fitzgibbon and "Between Mouthfuls: Scenes from a Café" for Empire Line Productions / Mary Curtin. He performed and helped devise "Haunted" for Ferocious Compsure staged at the 2016 Galway Fringe. He also played Dez in Strive Theatre's production "Will it Fit in the Van" which toured eight venues across Ireland including Electric Picnic '17, Body & Soul '17 and Waterford's Garter Lane for the Imagine Arts Festival.
