Genevieve Kent

Genevieve Kent is an actor, screenwriter, director and filmmaker from New Zealand. Since graduating from The Actors' Program in 2016, she has worked on the stage, screen and as a voice actor, in Auckland and Los Angeles. During the pandemic in 2020, Genevieve returned to her hometown of Christchurch where she teamed up with Lucinda Jones to co-write, co-direct, co-produce and star in 'This (but Better)'. This is the debut project from the pair's production company, Luckie Gem Productions. 'This (but Better)' is a comedic, musical mini-series serving as a low-budget lovechild of 'Broad City' and 'Flight of the Conchords'. Genevieve and Lucinda have also recently teamed up with fellow COVID-returnee, Mikaela Rüegg, to form Kowhai Collab Film Collective. Their debut project, 'A Peek Inside the CHCH Internet Troll Agency' will be released in August 2021. The project is a comedic, short film mockumentary that has been funded through 'Someday Stories'.
