Dave Leduc is a world-renowned martial artist who has also made a name for himself outside the ring as an actor and television personality. On television, Leduc can be seen taking by storm The Amazing Race Canada (2019), as him and his wife Irina Terehova became the biggest villain the franchise has ever known. Leduc also appeared in many different podcasts, notably was a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience (2019). Leduc is a multiple time world champion. Born and raised in Canada, his devotion to martial arts began after he left the family house as a teenager and to avoid troubles, he started training at his local martial arts gym. Leduc first gained widespread notoriety by becoming the first Quebecer and Canadian to win in the controversial Prison Fight Thailand inside a maximum security prison in Bangkok, where violent inmates can reduce their sentences and even earn their freedom by winning a series of fights against foreign fighters. Leduc's prison fight was featured in the documentary Prison Fighters: Five Rounds to Freedom (2017). Following his success at Prison Fight, Leduc made the transition to the art of Lethwei, a millenia-old combat art from Myanmar also known as Burmese bareknuckle boxing, which is considered the most brutal sport in the world because the fight is done bareknuckle and headbutts are permitted. In 2016, he became the first non-Burmese fighter in history to win the coveted Golden belt by defeating Lethwei star Tun Tun Min at the Aung Lan Championship in Yangon. Leduc's journey to success was immortalized in the French documentary Fosse Aux Tigres (2018) which followed his footsteps in Myanmar to become the first non-Burmese Lethwei World Champion. Having mastered the art of fighting without gloves and headbutts, Dave Leduc is often referred as the King of Lethwei and as the most dangerous man earth. Although a native of Canada, he's considered a national treasure in Myanmar, where he and his wife got married nationally televised ceremony, viewed by over 30 million people.
