Rachel Mathieu is an actor, writer, dancer, musician, and published model based out of Los Angeles, California. She holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Southern California, one in theatre from the School of Dramatic Arts and one in design from Roski School of Art and Design. Rachel was born in Atlanta, Georgia and was introduced to the performing arts at a young age, beginning her training in acting, classical piano, and ballet by the age of 5. Rachel performed in musicals, plays, and vocal groups until high school, when she began training at the Tony-award winning Alliance Theatre through classes and private coaching with instructor Allison Gardner. Rachel also continued intensive dance training in ballet, jazz, modern, and hip hop, and attended summer intensives at Orlando Ballet in Florida and Joffrey Ballet School in New York. While at USC, Rachel performed in various plays, one acts, sketches, and student films, including Reverie, award-winner at the fall 2017 Los Angeles Movie Awards. Since then, Rachel has continued training in on-camera performance, audition technique, improv, and sketch writing (Stan Kirsch, Upright Citizens Brigade) while working on various commercial and theatrical projects (People Magazine Investigates, Ride or Die, My Strange Addiction- Snap Streaks). She also serves as a writer and actor for Elephant Dept. sketch comedy group, which performs regularly around Los Angeles.
