On air-radio personality known as "The Voice". Began his career in New York City in 1982 at WHBI 105.9FM co-hosting "The Road To Glory" gospel program. He later moved on to WHCR 90.3FM in 1992 where he created "The Love Zone" radio program which soon zoomed to the #1 spot on WHCR's programming schedule! Every Friday night at 8 pm lovers and would-be lovers find themselves tuning in to "The Love Zone" to hear the smooth deep voice of the man himself. He also has hosted many events around the world such as The United Negro College Fund, Awards, The National Black Miss Harlem Fashion Show, The Atlantic City Free Summer Concert Series produced by National R&B Music Society, Voice Distributions & The Sessoms Group Annual Classic R&B Weekend, The UK Soul Trip USA Gala thus making him become known as one of the world's greatest Master of Ceremony. 1983-1989 he spent displayed his vocal talent as the bass singer for the popular Bronx, New York Gospel quartet balladeers, "The Ecstatistics". On July 1, 1988, Maurice married his partner for life Tammy Watts. They have two children Eugene Richardson Jr and Maurice Watts Jr. Working towards the betterment of the Harlem NY community, he volunteered his time to help the campaign of Manhattan Borough President, Ms. C. Virginia Fields. In 1997, the community of Harlem NY presented him with the Radio Personality of the Year award. He's also the recipient of the National R&B Music Society's Lifetime Achievement Award. Maurice has made the News media many times, appearing in both, the New York Daily News and the Starlight Magazine. He's the owner of Voice Distributions that consist of artists like Ali Woodson of The Temptations, Russell Thompkins Jr, of The Stylistics, The Manhattans, and many more. In January 2004, with the success of Voice Distributions, Maurice became the central contact for a lot of his artist's fans and promoters to reach them. This lead to Maurice starting another company, Voice Booking Agency. Tavares, Heatwave, Dennis Edwards, The Chi-Lites, Morris Day & The Time, Chante Moore, The Sugarhill Gang, Kurtis Blow, The Dramatics, Black Ivory, Soul Generation, Melisa Morgan, and others have become members of Voice Booking Agency. In 2002 he became the bass singer for Ali Woodson & The Emperors of Soul. In 2006 he was the host for the world-famous Apollo Theater's Christmas Concert featuring The Temptations. In 2007 he celebrated his 25th radio anniversary in the Poconos that was produced by his company Voice Distributions LLC and The Sessoms Group Inc. that has become one of the most enjoyed annual Classic R&B Weekend events on the East coast for the past 14 years. His most recent adventure is, he skydived out of a plane at 13,500 feet in New Jersey in celebration of his 50th birthday.
