Artist violin-maker, restorer, expert and educator of fine violins. Musician and painter. Owner of "Lukas Violins of New York". Lukas Wronski creates instruments as artistic subjects that have a wonderful rich sound, moreover a soul and unique quality as pieces of art. His instruments stand confidently alongside old Italian instruments of the great masters both aesthetically and in their sound capabilities. Many of his instruments are copies of old Italian instruments as well his own inspirations and new designs in a new contemporary form. Lukas has participated in a variety of international violin-making competitions and exhibitions all over the world. His instruments have received many awards and have been appreciated and played by many great and famous musicians across the world. He is also an experienced restorer and authentication expert of rare instruments. Originally from Poland, born into a family with an artistic tradition going back for centuries, Mr. Wronski started playing the violin at the age of 8. His experience as a violin-maker began at the early age of 13, when he made his first violin. That experience launched his long study of violin making, music, and arts in Poland, England and Italy. Lukas graduated from Kenar's College of Arts in Zakopane, Poland. In 2002 he was awarded his Master of Arts degree with honors from I.J. Paderewski's Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland for his artistry in violin-making and restoration. In 2003 he moved to Cremona, Italy to work in distinguished ateliers of violin-making.
