Julian Everly Shervington Wright is a practicing innovator and entrepreneur. He began his career in 1993 as the Production Coordinator and Account Manager for Dallas Austin's DARP Inc. He coordinated albums for TLC, Boyz II Men, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, Paula Abdul as well as soundtracks to Space Jams and the Nutty Professor. In 1997, Mr. Wright established Wright Artist Management. In 1998, he partnered with Mathew Knowles' Music World Management to manage R&B quartet Jagged Edge. Mr. Wright secured Destiny's Child's first appearance on a soundtrack with 1998's "Get on the Bus". the song was written and produced by Missy Elliot and Timbaland for Elektra Record's "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" Soundtrack. Mr. Wright successfully guided Jagged Edge's debut record "A Jagged Era" to RIAA Gold Status and spearheaded Jagged Edge's double platinum sophomore album "JE Heartbreak". In 1999, Mr. Wright returned to DARP Inc. to manage Dallas Austin. During that time he negotiated for Austin to produced Stevie Nicks, Pink, Christina Aguilera, TLC and Japanese superstar Namie Amuro. Mr. Wright was responsible for generating $3mm in annual revenues, and securing projects which went on to sell in excess of 80 million copies. In 2003, Mr. Wright consulted Three Keys Music, which is owned by billionaire/BET Founder Bob Johnson and Jazz Artist Marcus Johnson. In 2004, Julian was hand picked by Japanese billionaire Tetsuo Taira to identify and acquire entertainment assets in the US. In 2008, Mr. Wright advised Cash Money Records owner Bryan "Baby" Williams on all new branding opportunities. In 2010, Julian Everly Creative Ventures, Inc. (JECV) began the process of high impact marketing innovation for the premium cigar market, with tobacco giant General Cigar (owners of the US brands Cohiba, Macanudo and Punch). JECV brought together entertainment mogul Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and General Cigar, resulting in the recently launched Cohiba Comador Cigar. In 2015 Julian cofounded OnDemand tech startup Shotzu. Julian Wright attended Morehouse College, and has received certificates in copyright law and contract law from Harvard Law School, certificates in entrepreneurship from MIT and a certificate in Globalization from Georgetown University.
