Melek Karakus is Australian born and comes from Turkish descent in which she speaks fluent in. She who grew up training in Martial Arts since the age of 3 which then started exploring dance and theatre in her early teenage years when she decided to take her passion seriously by taking up Dramatic Arts and Dance as her Major in school. Once graduating, she enrolled in a full-time performing arts program where she received a Certificate IV in Performing Arts in Sydney, Australia. Melek started working professionally instantaneously in the entertainment industry once graduating. Melek landed her first international contract as an actress at Universal Studios, Singapore. She then went on to perform as a dancer for many artists and productions such as Snoop Dogg, Drake, Halsey and toured with Cirque Du Soleil covering locations as USA, Macau, Singapore, China, Middle East and Europe. Melek was the lead role in two plays at the 'Short and Sweet Film Festival' in Dubai, where she received a lot of recognition. Her most notable performance was when she had the honor to perform in the world famous Sydney Opera House in the play Oneness by playwright, Alex Broun. Her recent film work includes a feature film The Catalyst where she played a supporting role as a wife of Muslim solider in which she used her stunt and martial arts training for the role and appeared in a comedic short film Bad Kiwi's that went on to win many awards at film festivals.
