Nidheya Suresh is a Los Angeles-based writer, director and producer. She developed an early love for storytelling -- at the age of six -- spending her hours penning tales across genres. The passion continued well into her adulthood, when she pursued a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism from M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women in Chennai (India). This background in journalism gave her a personal and upfront experience of real people and tell their stories in nuanced and complex ways. During this period she also discovered a love for filmmaking, sending her across the globe to Los Angeles' New York Film Academy to pursue an MFA in Screenwriting. During the sixteen-month program, Nidheya wrote and produced multiple projects. Her short film Idée fixe (2018), which she directed with Ahlan Williams was nominated for multiple awards. Having spent her life in various parts of India, Los Angeles and even Australia, Nidheya aims to lend her voice to creating diverse and authentic stories, believing that a multi-cultural world is a better one.
