Mark Hernandez was born in Dallas, Texas. His father, David Hernandez, was a contract worker who traveled months at a time working in Dallas, Boston, San Diego and Seattle. Mark's mother, Elvira Hernandez, worked for the Vought Corporation (LTV) Aerospace in Grand Prairie, Texas but later worked for the Boeing Company when the family relocated to Seattle. Mark attended most of his junior high days in San Diego and almost all of his freshman year of high school in Seattle before moving back to Grand Prairie. After graduating from high school Mark went on to play 2 years of college baseball and it was during his first year of college on a spring break trip to Los Angeles that Hernandez had his first experience in the TV/film industry. While visiting a relative who's company was hired to provide security in Van Nuys at a studio where 2 of Aaron Spelling's hit shows ,Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place filmed, Hernandez was approached by a casting director while walking through the studio and before he knew what was happening he was on set with the cameras rolling in the most popular hangout spot in the 90's, "The Peach Pit." It wasn't until years later after retiring from the automotive production company General Motors that Mark began a career in the TV/film industry. Hernandez has contributed several minor TV/film appearances, usually uncredited or featured, in shows such as Prison Break (2005), Hawaii Five-0 (2017) , Queen of the South (2017-2018), Murder Made Me Famous (2017-2019), Fear the Walking Dead (2015-), The Chosen (2019-) and in the films Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) The Penitent Thief (2021) and South of Heaven (2021).
