Deanna Amacker is a classically trained actor working in over 50 film and theatre productions alike. She earned her associates degree in Theatre from Raritan Valley College in New Jersey. She founded and directed the Improv Club at Raritan Valley that remains an elective for student's today. Continuing her education, Deanna moved to Denver, CO attending VisionBox Studios under the teachings of Jennifer Rincon. VisionBox gave her the platform to further train her technique and voice in graduate level intensives including Chekhov, Brecht, Shakespeare, and American Realism. Deanna played Alanna, an evil sorceress, in the indie film Aliens and Dragons (2020) directed by Mark Steven Grove. She recently won Best Actress playing a strong female lead in Carrier (2018) at the Denver 48 Hour Film Festival directed by Shawna Schultz. This film also won the Best Film award and screened at the international Filmapalooza Festival. Acting will always be Deanna's first love, but her passion for music also holds a place in her heart. Being inspired by artists like Lady Gaga, Kesha and Britney Spears has been a fortunate stroke of serendipity in her creation of KICY, an explosive pop artist. Her original EP "First Kiss" is coming out soon. Growing up, Deanna and her older sister were raised by their aunt and moved around quite a bit under the circumstances. This however, gave her the opportunities to travel to places such as Africa, Argentina and Japan! Moving around a lot has given Deanna a more worldly view and has made her acclimated to many cultures and different practices. She looks forward to working in the next Netflix Award winning series or any feature opposite Jim Carrey!
