Jacob Turner

Born and raised on the Gold Coast, Australia, Jacob Turner is a talented, Australian Military Veteran, Actor, Stunt Performer and Television Presenter. Attending Primary School at Emmanuel College up until the age of 12, he relocated to Brisbane In 2002 where he saw out the remainder of his schooling at Mueller College, graduating in 2007. During his time in high school Jacob showed little interest in the performing arts however, a casting in his high school musical as the lead role "Roland" during his senior year, saw him discover a talent and a love for acting. Following high school, Jacob joined the ADF (Australian Defence Force) and served 6 years from 2009-15 as an Infantry Soldier with the 5th Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment. During this time Jacob was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010/11 as part of Mentoring Task Force 2 (MTF-2). After discharging from the Army in 2015 Jacob went on to work in the mining industry before finally turning to Acting once again, this time for the screen. Since his return to Acting Jacob has acted in a number of Short Films, Feature Films and Television Series such as; "Blacksite", "King Kong vs Godzilla", "Nautilus", "Boy Swallows Universe" and the Independent Feature Film "Canvas", in which he played the lead role of Tobias, a Veteran who has taken on a self imposed silence as he returns from service in the wake of his brother's suicide to help his estranged father keep his boxing gym alive. Not only is Jacob an Actor but also an MEAA Graded Stunt Performer, and Television Host, Co-Hosting the Australian Adventure/Travel Show "Destination Dessert" for Network 10.
