Tugyan Baris

Tugyan Baris is a German actress and physician. Born and raised in Frankfurt am Main, she began acting at the age of four. She landed her first professional role as an actress at the age of fifteen and became a member of a local theater group while still in high school. After graduation, she applied to medical school in Germany but began studying acting at the Regent's College of London in the School of Film, Media and Performance. When notified that she was accepted to study medicine at Philipps-University of Marburg, she took the opportunity and moved back to Germany where she juggled both of her diverse passions and talents appearing in a number of short and feature films while successfully tackling the arduous work necessary to become a doctor. She graduated from the Academy of Stage Arts near Frankfurt am Main in August of 2018 and graduated from medical school in November of 2019. Since then, she has dedicated herself to acting and stage arts. while also developing her own projects for film including a film with director Tarique Qayumi. Proficient as a classical pianist, she is fluent in German, English and Turkish. In Germany she is represented by Ann-Marie Heidfeld of the agency "Initio-Schauspiel". She is represented by Chris McGraw of "Trinity Artists" in the U.S.
