Jamil Khan started his career in the film industry in 2016 as a working actor. After years of dreaming, Jamil found his path into the industry when major film companies moved to Atlanta, next door to his hometown in Alabama. Years later in 2019, he fell in love with writing after reading so many different scripts for his auditions. His three major influences are Dave Chappelle, Stephen King, and Quentin Tarantino. His style of flipping stereotypes comes from his juxtaposition upbringing of being half Pakistani and being raised in the south, surrounded by the African American and rural white American communities. He observed how communities of different cultures can coincide with preexisting prejudices and he is able to turn that dynamic relationship of many diverse characters into comedy, horror, and drama.
