Abby is a bisexual, disabled filmmaker. She battled cancer in 2019 and is still dealing with the aftermath of being immunocompromised, especially during a pandemic. She also fights to destigmatize all mental disabilities, including anxiety, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder, all of which she deals with daily, but hopes that mental health will become more accepted in the entertainment industry and the world in general. She grew up in a small town where the arts weren't viewed as a career path, but her love for writing was strong enough for her to pursue in college in Cleveland, Ohio. She studied and got her degree in Journalism, but started to dabble in film when she met her partner, Antonio, and realized how large her passion was for this form of storytelling. She brings a sense of grounding to the directing and filming process because of her background. She is always well-researched, well-prepared, and ready for anything. She is passionate about Indigiounous rights, Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ issues, mental health, environmental issues, and so much more. To stand for something or fall for everything is her life motto.
