Marc Lotter serves as Director of Strategic Communications for Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. In this role, Lotter serves as a senior member of the Trump-Pence 2020 campaign and a regular guest on national and cable news outlets including Fox News Channel, MSNBC, CNN and many Sunday morning political shows. Lotter previously served as a Special Assistant to the President and Press Secretary to Vice President Mike Pence during most of the first year of the Trump Administration. Prior to joining the administration, he served as Press Secretary to the Vice President during the 2016 presidential campaign and transition. A native Hoosier from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lotter brings experience spanning decades in politics, public service and media. Prior to moving to Washington, DC, he served as Communications Director for Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, and the McCain-Palin Campaign in Indiana. Lotter previously spent thirteen years in local media, winning two Emmy awards, as a producer and manager at television stations in Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Atlanta. Lotter graduated from Ball State University, where he majored in Telecommunications and Political Science. He resides with his wife and dog, "Wrigley", in the Washington, DC area.
