Jessica Staples

Jessica Staples was born to Thomas and Patricia Staples in Denver, Colorado. From birth to age 18, Jessica lived in Aurora, Colorado with her family. She has an older half-brother Tod Jeffcoat, an older sister, Jennifer Crookston, and a little sister, Joelle Staples. In 2005, at the age of 18, Jessica joined the Navy, and was stationed on the USS O'Kane (DDG-77) out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. She served four honorable years as a Cryptological Technician (CTT) until 2009, when her enlistment was up. She left the Navy as a Second Class Petty Officer in hopes of pursuing other dreams. From 2010 to 2012, Jessica attended college at Hawaii Pacific University, where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Communication using her G.I. Bill from the Navy. Unsure of where her future would take her, Jessica followed her boyfriend from Hawaii to Saint George, Utah in 2012, where he was offered a job with an architecture firm. She delivered pizzas for Papa Johns while waiting for a better opportunity to arise. Eventually, delivering pizzas lead Jessica to a company called LearnKey, where she presently works Full Time as a Student Services Representative. In 2017 Jessica applied to be a featured extra in a local commercial. Having dabbled around working as an extra before (at the age of 12 for a mini TV series, Asteroid and again in her 20's for Hawaii 5-0), Jessica felt it would be a fun experience and a good way to make a little extra money on the side. After a successful shoot, and being introduced to local filmmakers, Jessica immediately fell in love with acting. Despite her lack of experience as an actress, Jessica has been pursuing new opportunities to learn, to contribute, and to immerse herself in the film-making community in Southern Utah. She is actively looking for new opportunities and roles as an actress.
