Andrea Ravera is an Italian actor with more than 20 years of international film, television, and theater experience. He has performed on location throughout Europe, South America, and India in several languages, including Italian, Spanish, English, and Hindi. Ravera studied acting in Italy with Francesca De Sapio of The Actor's Studio before landing his first career role as "Berta" in the film Private, directed by Tinto Brass. He then continued his training in Argentina, where he lived and worked from 2003-2012, with Raul Serrano at the Acting School of Buenos Aires. He also studied with Guillermo Angelelli (March 2007 - October 2008) and Marcelo Savignone (March 2009 - February 2013). During his time in Argentina, Ravera acted in a number of theatrical productions, including El Ingenio de los Orvantes by Yoska Lazaro and Detras by Marcelo Savignone. He also played roles in various films, such as "Carcarlo" in director Samuele Sbrighi's La Vida Es un Carnaval, "Luca" in Soledad, a short film directed by Marcelo Cepeda, and "Pagliaie" in the French TV movie Manhunt, directed by Laurent Jaoui. Ravera also appeared in a number of television productions, including Hombres de Honor, Sin Codigo, Sos mi Vida, El Tiempo No Para, Son de Fierro, Nini, and Violetta. In 2008, he starred the documentary Pasion Latina, directed by Juan Baldana. In 2013, Ravera moved to India to continue his career and has since appeared in various films and television productions, including Humshakals, Mahakumbh, Nannaku Prematho, Doctor Rakhmabai. He also participated in the tv production Chandra Nandini, as "Megasthenes", an ancient Greek historian who served as ambassador to Seleucus I Nicator in India from 302-298 BCE. The role was particularly memorable for Ravera, as it challenged him to play a historical character 15 years older than his actual age. In 2018, Ravera is part of the international production, The Ashram, directed by Ben Rekhi, where he played the role of "Surya", an introverted and suspicious spiritual seeker living in a mysterious community at the foothills of the Himalayas. He has featured in a 2019 release entitled Tutto Liscio, an Italian comedy directed by Igor Maltagliati, as "Belin", an eclectic accordion player who returns to Italy after 7 years of traveling throughout Asia and become part of an even more extravagant band named, precisely, the "Tutto Liscio". In the same year Ravera also embodies the character of "Simon Fraser", an authoritarian, merciless British Political Representative, in Jhansi Ki Rani, directed by Vaibhav Mutha and Deepak S.V., another acclaimed Indian tv historical drama based on the life of the legendary warrior queen Lakshmi Bai, who fought back against Britain's plan to annex her kingdom in the 1850s and became an icon of freedom in India. Ravera is currently involved in a number of works in progress, among which stands out the soon to be released feature film Randu Rahasyangal, directed by Arjun Lal and Ajithkumar Raveendran, wherein he plays his first lead role in an Indian production as a rough, frightening Spanish retired soldier, who comes to India to seek revenge for the murder of his daughter.
