Nicola Whelan

Nicola Whelan was born in Dublin, Ireland to Elizabeth and James Redmond. She attended Dominican Convent National School in Dun Laoghaire before moving to Canada and graduated in 1992 from Resurrection High School in Kitchener, Ontario. She completed an OAC Diploma with Drama and Performance while studying with Butler Academy of Dance. She met her future husband on a tour of Europe with the Irish National Dance Company and continued touring with various bands and companies for a further 5 years. She settled in Dublin with her husband in 2002 and started teaching Drama, Modern Dance and Musial Theater in Elevation School of Performing Arts and across Ireland with a variety of Dance and Theater Companies. In later years she studied Meisner Technique in Momentum Acting Studio under Robbie Byrne and Liza Michael in Dublin. She lives in Dublin with her musician husband Kenneth and her two children.
