Mahol Kim Hetly was born in the city of Kfar Saba in central Israel, to Ayala Yemini and Netanel Hetly, she has two older sisters from both her parents, Or Gershtein and Tahel Hetly-Balle. She and her sisters were raised by their mother, an accountant, and her grandparents, Jacob & Miriam Yemini in Tel Mond, Israel. Her grandparents from both sides immigrated to Israel from Yemen. Throughout her childhood and teen years, Mahol Kim took part of various acting programs. Graduated from Yitzhak Rabin High School, majored in drama and filmmaking. During her teen years, she was in Chich's Neighbors (of Tel Aviv), a known youth acting group in Israel. As part of the group, she played in three musicals: Secret of the Archive, Into the woods & Rahav's Cabaret in major roles. She studied acting in Tel Aviv and Los Angeles, with Howard Fine, Christine Dunford, and directors; Daniel Syrkin and Yuval Shafferman among others. She also studied Voice and Speech with the musical producer and composer Shai Fishman and with vocal coach David Coury. Knowing she wanted to be an actress since she was three years old, Aiming for a career in Hollywood, at the age of six, she asked her mother to buy her an English Learning Kit and started to learn English by herself. In addition to English lessons in school, she learned most of her English and American accent from watching American television series and movies.
